He was hidden, and unliked, but most of all scared. He would sit in parks, on trains, and in the lobbies of hotels. And yes, he would throw his voice around the room. He caused accidents, deaths, arguments and fatalities of humour, depending on his mood. He went through life. He never spoke in his own voice, but would only speak through the voice of others. At the table his family accepted his answers, through the voice of the sister, dog or plastic doll. What was he scared of? Sitting in the park, the lobby, or the cafe, you can see him now – disturbing the air. The scared ventriloquist, ready to be scared once more.
